Ringio Mobile for Android

The Ringio Mobile app is available in the Android Market.

The Android app is not a must. If you don't use it, you will get your phone calls the old-fashioned way. The phone will ring, you will pick it up and talk to the caller.

  • If the app is running, and you are not logged in to the Ringio Desktop, you will get a screen pop on the mobile, as long as the phone has a network connection, 3g or wifi
  • If the app is running and you are logged in to the Ringio Desktop, Ringio assumes that you'd rather take it on your big computer screen, and doesn't pop your mobile (although it may send the call to the mobile)
  • The app runs in the background, even if the screen is off, or the device is in low power mode
  • The most useful aspects of the Android app are:
    • To check voicemail visually
    • To change where your receive your calls at
    • To check in / check out
    • To lookup a contact that is not in your address book
    • To call out / return a call, if you want to display your Ringio Caller ID.

Noticed that the voicemail playback is on handset rather than via default audio device (like bluetooth headset). Any chance the next version could support the default audio device?
